ABOUT LOCAL 11

WHOWe Are

Local Union Number 11 is a chapter of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States, Its Territories and Canada, AFL-CIO.
 
We provide industry-leading staging and technical services to concerts, conferences, galas, rallies, off-broadway tours, theatrical productions and more across Eastern Massachusetts.
 
Each of our skilled stagehands and technicians are highly trained through our robust apprenticeship programs and continuing education opportunities, together creating the safest, most efficient, workforce in the entertainment and events production industry.
  • To improve their wages, hours of work, job security, and working conditions.
  • To advance their economic, social, and cultural interests.
  • To promote productive, peaceful relationships between workers and their employers.
  • To ensure their voices are heard.

IATSE Local 11 recognizes that the events production industry, which makes up much of our culture, can and should provide a strong career path for skilled technicians. When those technicians are provided with continued trainings, respectable wages, and sufficient benefits, turn-over rates will decrease, quality of productions will improve, and our industry will thrive even more.
